"Spring shower, winds take toll on rabbi crops" ..

"Spring shower, winds take toll on rabbi crops" ......
This is the headline of today's HT on recent rains and misfortune it has brought for farmers all over the country. Maharashtra alone has suffered a loss of over 1000 Crs. Standing crops like wheat, mustard, gram and potatoes have suffered immense damage and assessment by the respective governments is being done. I don't exactly know the real damage but surely it will hv impact on prices of food grains and vegetables.

  • Ashok Sachan Sir, This is really painful. The peasants are in very pity conditions always in our country. They always beg the mercy of GOD, but every time they aren't blessed. This time their bowls are empty but on the contrary share market is booming, will it bridge the gap? They are Annadata to all of us, they must be supported in order to bring Achchhe Din for all. Jai Hind!!!
  • S.p. Singh Let's hope State Government may come to rescue and Central Government may also extend helping hand.

But in all general public may also face shortage of seasonal vegetables and this would surely give bigger handle to black marketeers.
